Welcome to the Tech Blog

This is a blog for NPT Techs to be able to share any highlights and lowlights with other techs on duty.  Please complete each night, even if it's just a short sentence to say no problems with anything.

  1. Theater 1. 9:30pm Show "Searching for sugar man".
we had an audio problem. where the dialog was mute, only we can hear the music. In case this problem comes again, push the Aux button and them push back the blue-Ray button again.
Theater 2. 10:00pm Show "The Host"
I stop the film twice because the audience wanted the film in Korean and English Subtitles.
But so far everything run smoothly .

  4. No problems with DCP. Had to restart first 10 seconds of Point Break because I didnt switch to scope...all they heard were waves on the beach and then the show opened so that was fine. Burlesque was problematic at first. We couldnt get a signal, then we got one and it was static like and then I switched the scaler from PC to HDMI and back again and it worked perfectly.

  8. Tech was fine. We had to switch back and forth from Blueray to PC to get Nerd Nite connected, but it worked out fine. Also, they set up live streaming on a projector in the mezzanine, which I pulled our sound system from the lobby to do...worked out fine, though they had some tech issues themselves so it wasn't the best. Overall, good.

  9. Tech was fine other than lights in THeater #1

The fuse blew before we started. David and I reset it, but now there is barel any light at all for the runners, which was very difficult during a full house of Django.

DCP was fine, though we need to all be doing routine sound and picture checks in the houses because some of the films are really loud and need to be adjusted by .5 to 1 point depending on the crowd and the film. Django and Ralph both ned adjustments almost every show.
